Victims of an asbestos related cancer and their families have won a landmark Supreme Court ruling. Plymouth campaigners welcomed the decision, but highlighted that injustices still exist for people employed by the Ministry of Defence.
Andrew Stinchcombe, Pymouth-based asbestos industrial disease legal specialist from Thrings, said: "This ruling is incredibly important and the result could have wide implications for both the victims of asbestos and their families when seeking the compensation to which they are rightly entitled to. Unfortunately this doesn't help Naval families due to the Crown Prosecution Act."
