The event will provide an opportunity for members of the agriculture and rural affairs communities to discuss the UK’s departure from the European Union, how it could impact on agricultural tenancies, and what Brexit could mean for the nation’s food producers.
Neighbourhood planning, affordable housing and class Q permitted development rights will also fall under the spotlight as members of Thrings’ Planning team participate in a mock public inquiry.
More than 240 farmers, landowners, land agents, planning consultants, surveyors, accountants and farming journalists – a record number – are set to join Thrings’ team of experts at the seminar, which is being chaired by partner, Duncan Sigournay.
Also in attendance will be rural and agriculture specialist, Mark Charter, and private client expert, Rachel Brooks, who will discuss how farmers can take a holistic approach to asset and land management.
Mark and Rachel recently joined Thrings as partners from regional law practice, Blake Morgan. The pair will head up the firm’s new office in Southampton, working closely together to provide a complete service package to clients requiring legal support in the closely related practice areas of agriculture, landed estates and private affairs.
