Business communities make merry at Thrings' referrers' events

Thrings kicked off the yuletide celebrations this week by welcoming leading members of the South West’s business and professional services communities to its pre-Christmas parties in Bath and Swindon.

Attracting more than 150 accountants, bankers, surveyors, property agents, renewable energy experts, charities and media organisations, the events provided an opportunity for Thrings to thank its close contacts and professional colleagues for their ongoing support in 2015.

On Wednesday guests gathered at Bath’s Abbey Hotel – named Business of the Year at the recent Bath Chronicle Business Awards – for an evening of Christmas drinks and networking in the hotel’s cellars which had been transformed into an igloo.

Among those enjoying the festivities were staff from the Bath Rugby Foundation – which aims to enhance the lives of children and young people in the local area through sport – and fellow charities St Johns Hospital and Dorothy House.

Meanwhile Arclite House, home to Swindon-based mobile landline and IT supplier and long-term Thrings client Excalibur Communications, provided the venue for Thursday’s referrers’ event.

Not-for-profit organisation inSwindon BID Company, Business West and Forward Swindon – the company established to deliver and facilitate economic growth and regeneration in Swindon – were among those treated to a demonstration of close-up magic by award-winning entertainer, Steve Dela.

Thrings managing partner Simon Holdsworth said: “We are thrilled that so many of our referrers and professional colleagues from Swindon and Bath were able to join us at Arclite House and the Abbey Hotel.

“While the focus of both events was very much on having fun and looking ahead to the festive season, our solicitors are very pleased to have had the opportunity to express their thanks – in person – to those individuals, businesses and organisations who have continued to support the firm during 2015.”
