Thrings returns as lead sponsors of the Bath Business Awards

Thrings is returning as lead sponsors of the Bath Business Awards. Managing Partner Simon Holdsworth discusses the firm's partnership with the most high profile business event in the city's calendar.

Why has Thrings decided to sign up as headline sponsor for a second year?

Signing up for a second time was an easy decision. With the economic recovery now underway, the awards provide an ideal opportunity to recognise business success in Bath and remind people of the city's rich and vibrant commercial market. We are delighted to headline such a prestigious event.

What benefits did Thrings experience from last year’s awards?

Putting our name to the Bath Business Awards was a perfect way of showing our commitment to the Bath business community. We enjoyed some excellent networking with many like-minded friends and contacts. Most of all, it was an evening to celebrate the very best of business in Bath.

Why does Thrings think the Bath Business Awards are important?

The nature of what we do means we see examples of Bath’s diverse range of businesses every day and at close quarters. The city has a thriving SME and micro business community, ever-expanding professional services and financial services sectors, and an abundance of talent in engineering, IT and digital media. Bath has much to shout about; the awards provide a platform to do just that.

What is Thrings looking forward to this year?

Organic growth is extremely important to us as we come out of the recession, and building on long-term relationships with key clients such as St John's Hospital, Future Publishing, Dorothy House Hospice Care, BMT Defence Services, Jelf Group plc and Helphire is our primary goal. This year the firm will continue investing in relationships, in staff and in the local market.

What words of advice would Thrings give any company thinking of entering?

Don’t delay. Since first becoming title sponsors, we have encountered some tremendously exciting businesses, almost all of who have benefitted from being associated with the awards. If a business has performed well, demonstrated financial security, acted professionally at all times, delivered exemplary service, looked after its staff and immersed itself in the local community, my advice would be to submit an entry straightaway.

The Bath Business Awards take place on the 11th September at Bath Racecourse. Click here for more information.
