Oblige before you break

Even the most honest of leaseholders may be reluctant to query the terms of their lease in case it looks like they might not adhere to them, but careful attention should be paid to the conditions of any break clause. The wording of a lease can mean the difference between straightforward dealings with a landlord and a situation riddled with unexpected and onerous consequences for tenants.
