Natalia Sokolov is Partner in the Thrings Construction and Engineering team and a key member of our Clean Energy team. She talks to us about construction, cycling and the cello!
Tell us a little about your work and career so far.
I specialise in construction law acting for developers, housebuilders, funders, tenants and landowners on a range of development schemes including clean energy projects. I negotiate building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties and bonds and a raft of other construction documentation. I work alongside our construction dispute resolution team who can help where projects are in delay, defective or have other complex construction project issues. I also work closely with our real estate and corporate teams providing support to real estate development and finance work I’m excited to be bringing together the clean energy team across Thrings and the opportunities it can bring for our clients and colleagues in future.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The variety of projects and client base makes each day different and genuinely interesting, plus the great team at Thrings make it a brilliant place to work.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
This is a difficult question! Anywhere off the beaten track and non-touristy – Indonesia and Kamchatka have been highlights so far.
What makes you happy?
My family and two little girls, the sea, road cycling and playing music /gigs with friends.
How do you relax when you’re not working?
A long road bike ride helps, or a sea swim, or playing cello with friends.
