Award-winning law firm Thrings has doubled its rankings in a prestigious international legal directory for the second year in a row.
The Chambers High Net Worth Guide showcases leading professional advisers for international private wealth, providing an objective view by identifying and ranking law firms, lawyers and a range of other professional advisers globally.
In the 2026 guide, Thrings has earned 10 ranked places with three departments, three Partners, two Senior Associates and two Associates featured, demonstrating the strength in depth of the firm’s legal expertise.
Residential Property
Launching into the rankings in the newly created “National Leaders” category are Thrings’ Residential Property team, who sit in Band 3 for high value residential real estate.
Operating for individuals, companies and trusts, the team that spans across the firm’s seven offices was recognised by clients for going “beyond expectations to deliver a superb service” and for being “very knowledgeable, keen to find solutions and always available”.
One testimonial went on to say: “Thrings distinguishes itself through its disciplined execution and solution-oriented approach. There is a strong emphasis on delivery, with timelines taken seriously and issues addressed proactively rather than defensively. Individuals within the team have also been recognised, with Partner Alice Altounyan from the firm’s Bath office also ranked for the first time in Band 3. In the rankings, Alice is widely praised by clients as “an incredible all-hours lawyer who has vast experience at dealing with complex matters” with the speed and quality of her service dubbed “outstanding”.
Likewise, new to the national rankings is Bristol-based Senior Associate Pratibha Mistry – ranked in the “Associates to Watch” category – who is “the safest pair of hands, delivering every time when it comes to timeframes” according to her clients, who reference her “thorough but also pragmatic” approach.
Jayne Kemsley, Partner in the London office, continues to be a strong presence in the directory, improving her Band 3 ranking to Band 2 for London with feedback recognising her as “efficient [and] easy to work with” adding that she “masters the brief quickly” and “gets the job done”.
Private Wealth Law
The firm’s Private Client team retains their coveted Band 1 ranking in Somerset – the highest rank available in the guide – with clients describing the team as “thoroughly professional” being “prompt, proactive and technically sound”.
The team also welcomes new individual rankings with two colleagues featuring in the “Associates to Watch” category.
Sam Longmore, who works across the firm’s Bath and Romsey offices, is described both as “highly efficient” and “patient” with clients “extremely pleased by the quality of work and service” he provides.
Also from the Bath office, Megan Alexander is quoted by clients as being “approachable”, “friendly and flexible” with a clear understanding of the “complexities involved in handling estates.”
Private Wealth Disputes
Maintaining their prominent position for the second year running are Thrings’ Contentious Probate team who retain their Band 3 ranking in Private Wealth Disputes. Praised for being “highly approachable and accessible, providing clear explanations to complex legal matters” and for taking the time to understand what their clients need.
Partner Emily Prout, highlighted in the directory for her “lovely manner” and “exceptional ability to evaluate the legal and factual complexities of a case to find creative solutions to the issues at hand” keeps her Band 2 ranking. Meanwhile, Georgia Wookey remains an “Associate to Watch”, with the directory noting she is “communicative, very personable and gets on with clients really well”.
