Thrings’ Commercial Disputes team continues growth with qualification of ‘exemplary’ new solicitor

Thrings has continued its ongoing work to grow its talent from within with the appointment of newly qualified solicitor Darcy Lilley into its Commercial Dispute Resolution team.

Darcy joins the team following the completion of a two-year training contract that has seen her flourish within several of the firm’s various litigation teams – including commercial, property and planning.

In her new role, Darcy will be supporting the team across a range of dispute matters, helping clients to reach a resolution efficiently whilst preserving their reputations and giving them piece of mind.

Megan Jefferies, Partner in Thrings’ Commercial Dispute Resolution team, said: “Darcy has really made an impact in her short time at the firm, growing into an excellent litigator and proving herself an asset to every team she has worked with.

“Her qualification is well deserved and it’s fantastic that she will not only be staying at the firm but is returning to our team, bringing with her experience on a range of complex matters from across our other departments that will help prepare her to go the extra mile for our clients.”

As one of the country’s best firms for training new lawyers, Thrings has established a reputation for providing a well-rounded learning experience that prepares its juniors for their legal career through on-the job experience in a “wide variety of seat options” and through its inclusive and engaging Thrings Academy initiative.

This is reflected in the Legal 500 Future Lawyers rankings, where the firm is ranked in seven of 14 possible categories, including job satisfaction, work/life balance, inclusiveness and the approachability of supervisors.

In recent weeks, Thrings has welcomed three new trainees onto their renowned trainee scheme, Holly Brogden, Robyn Guy and Florrie Fellowes, who will be completing seats across the firm over the coming years.

Simon Holdsworth, Thrings’ Managing Partner, said: “Darcy has been nothing short of exemplary during her traineeship, proving herself to be a hard worker, quick learner and positive presence in the office. It’s always pleasing to retain young talent that we have worked hard to develop, and we look forward to seeing her continue to reach her potential.”
