Charlotte is an Associate in the Restructuring and Insolvency team, based in the Romsey office. She advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters for insolvency practitioners, directors, individuals and companies. Her experience spans both corporate and personal insolvency, including advising on the risks associated with approaching the zone of insolvency, insolvency litigation and restructuring options.

Charlotte frequently supports directors and businesses facing financial challenges, offering guidance during board meetings on directors’ duties, potential liabilities, creditor protection, and contingency planning.

Insolvency practitioners and directors often instruct Charlotte to pursue or defend claims and antecedent transactions, including overdrawn director loan accounts, unlawful dividends, preference payments, transactions at an undervalue, and misfeasance (breach of duty) claims. Charlotte is recognised for her pragmatic and commercially minded approach to settlement negotiations.

Charlotte has a specialism in relation to technical administrator applications, including selling property free of security (paragraph 71 of schedule B1 of the Insolvency Act 1986). She also has experience liaising with the FCA in relation to companies which have entered into liquidation following investigations by the FCA.
