Corporate Finance

Chris is a corporate banker and member of the Institute of Financial Services. He works closely with a number of our teams, offering expert insights and perspectives from his experience working for two leading high street banks. Over the last 40 years, Chris has had a variety of corporate banking roles, including back office and credit underwriting, and he has been a Corporate Director for 25 years.

Leveraging his experience in securing funding for clients, creating strategies for business growth and acquiring business in the UK and overseas, Chris acts as one of our key advisers. He has worked with clients across numerous sectors, including manufacturing, transport and logistics, retail and hospitality and leisure, advising all kinds of businesses from family firms to multinationals with his corporate perspective.

During his career in corporate banking, Chris spent nearly 40 years working for high street banks, making him an unrivalled source of insight for our teams. As a Company Director, he managed a portfolio of around 40 clients with turnover ranging from £10m to £100m. He built long-standing relationships with clients, acting as a trusted business partner to secure the right funding for their strategies. Chris offers his insight into world of Banking and Finance to many of our advisers, ensuring we provide fully informed, strategic recommendations.

Business Growth Hub

Drawing on his broad experience in corporate banking, Chris provides our teams with specialist advice on securing funding for growth, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and business turnaround. He also has experience in setting up, developing and eventually selling a family business, which has given him a great level of understanding for the challenges business owners face.

Chris’s relevant experience includes:

  • managing a portfolio of approximately 40 clients with turnover ranging from £10m to £100m to help them secure funding for growth or restructuring
  • almost 40 years’ experience working for leading high-street banks in roles including back office, credit underwriting and Company Director
  • advising on the start-up, development and eventual sale of a family business, from a corporate perspective
