Jeremy is Head of Employment Law in London and brings a vast body of experience and expertise to the team. His corporate clients come from various sectors including manufacturing, telecoms and IT, media, recruitment and financial services. Jeremy also has a well-established practice acting for senior employees. Jeremy is involved with cases touching all aspects of employment law, from tribunal claims in respect of discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal through to boardroom disputes. In recent years, Jeremy has advised clients involved in undertaking mass redundancy and reorganisation programmes involving collective consultation. Jeremy is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and for many years sat on ELAs TUPE Working Group.

Jeremy's relevant experience includes:
  • obtaining High Court injunctions to protect clients' confidential information and customer connections
  • conducting advocacy in the employment tribunal, most recently to successfully defend a client against whom a claim of constructive dismissal had been made
  • working with senior individuals (including those whose roles are regulated by the FCA) to negotiate favourable severance packages
  • advising both businesses and individuals on drafting of contracts of employment, deeds of confidentiality and staff handbooks
  • advising on the application and effect of the TUPE regulation both in the context of business sales and outsourcing arrangements
  • advising Partners and LLP member on exit strategies and their obligations when accepting new appointments
  • advising on trade union disputes including securing a favourable outcome for a client involved in an application to the Central Arbitration Committee

This is not the first time I have relied on Jeremy for employment advice. He always spots all the issues which could easily be overlooked, but more importantly, then gives you practical advice on those issues and how to approach negotiations. Jeremy's pragmatic approach has been invaluable when moving between jobs. -
