Josh is a Solicitor in our Property Litigation team in Bristol. Having worked in property since 2017 Josh joined Thrings as a newly-qualified solicitor in 2022, dealing with all aspects of property litigation. Having substantive experience in transactional property in his previous role, Josh is well-versed in quickly identifying and understanding the basis, and merits, of disputes between parties.

He focuses on landlord and tenant dispute resolution, including dealing with tenant default, dilapidations, break notices and 1954 Act lease renewals.

Josh also works on land-related property disputes including issues relating to private rights of way and boundaries, removal of trespassers and advising on adverse possession, prescriptive easement and boundary determination claims.

  • Advising on validity of notices to quit and section 8/21 notices for possession of residential property.
  • Previous transactional experience involved acting in a £2.7 million lease extension of residential property and an £8 million sale of a listed manor with grounds.
