    Legal Director - Commercial Property

    A Legal Director in our South West Commercial Property Division, Charles' primary focus is commercial property transactions. He has particular expertise in property portfolio management as well as acting for commercial landlords and tenants in transactional matters, such as granting and entering into leases, assignments and subleases. In addition, Charles specialises in buying and selling commercial premises, including land for development and acting for landlords and tenants in the retail and leisure sector. Notably, Charles was involved in the £26m sale of Milsom Place, a prestigious retail estate of 32 units in the centre of Bath.

    Charles' relevant experience includes:
    • acting for a major charity in relation to their £70m investment property portfolio covering all transactional issues, including acquisitions and granting leases and licences
    • acting for the landlord of a shopping and restaurant estate, dealing with all transactional landlord and tenant matters
    • acting for local developers in Bath and the South West regarding the acquisition and disposal of development sites
    • acting for the owner of a number of industrial estates, handling all transactional matters relating to the investment property portfolio
    • acting for national financial institutions in relation to property refinances
