Thrings lawyers acknowledged by Chambers and Partners

Teams and individual lawyers at Thrings have been recognised for their expertise in the world-renowned legal guide Chambers and Partners.

Teams and individual lawyers at Thrings have been recognised for their expertise in the world-renowned legal guide Chambers and Partners.

The 2021 edition of the annual guide has promoted Thrings’ Hampshire-based Agriculture & Rural Affairs team to Band 1 – the highest possible rank – while the firm’s Family team in Swindon and Somerset-based Agriculture & Rural Affairs team both retain their top-tier positions.

The guide also awards the highest possible individual rankings to Thrings partners Fiona Kellow (Family; Swindon and surrounds); Mark Cullingford (Restructuring and Insolvency; South West); Neil Barbour (Agriculture; Somerset); and Mark Charter (Agriculture; Southampton and surrounds); and John Davies (Corporate; Thames Valley).

Two partners - Ros Trotman (Planning and head of Development of Land) and Robert James (Agriculture) – are elevated to ‘Up-and-Coming’. They, along with Corporate partner Simon Hore, are acknowledged for their contributions to the firm's growth.

Lawyers from other teams across the firm’s five offices in Bristol, Bath, Swindon, London and Romsey are also ranked, including those in Construction, Employment, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Environment, Real Estate and Real Estate Litigation.

The listings in Chambers and Partners, which has been recognised as a leading source of legal market intelligence for more than 30 years, follow the firm’s recent endorsement by the 2021 edition of Legal 500.

Simon Holdsworth, managing partner at Thrings, said: “I am extremely pleased that our teams and legal experts have once again been recognised by Chambers and Partners as leaders in our firm’s key specialisms.

“These rankings reflect the breadth and depth of the wide-ranging Thrings offering, particularly in private wealth, banking and finance, agriculture and development of land, along with our ability to act as trusted advisers to private individuals, entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses.”
