Emily Prout – Partner and Head of Private Wealth Disputes

 Emily is an experienced litigation solicitor, leading our contentious probate team, and dealing with a wide range of disputes arising following death, involving Wills, trusts and estates.

For over 15 years, she has advised clients through a range of private client disputes. She specialises in cases involving large estates, and also deals with complicated issues surrounding power of attorneys and professional negligence. As well as offering sound legal advice, Emily gets to know her clients and understand their concerns.  She offers steadfast legal support and provides pragmatic solutions, often helping clients to avoid court.

 

Georgia Wookey – Senior Associate

Georgia has over nine years’ experience specialising in private wealth disputes involving Wills, trusts and estates. Georgia also has a special interest in mental capacity issues and often advises in matters where capacity is a concern.  Her work includes advising parties in disputes involving attorneys or deputies including in situations where attorneys or deputies are under investigation by the OPG  or matters involving statutory wills, gifting and best interests’ decision making.

 

Dr Abi Cheeseman – Clinical Psychologist

Abi qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2004. Her training incorporated working with people of all ages & various clinical populations in a broad range of settings and contexts.

Abi has developed a particular interest in mental capacity and now specialises in this area of work, carrying out assessments under the instruction of legal professionals, wealth and finance specialists and the Court of Protection. She is a Court of Protection Special Visitor at the Office of the Public Guardian.

Abi has extensive experience in completing assessments of mental capacity for a wide range of particular matters  including testamentary capacity, lasting powers of attorney, property and affairs, care and residence decisions, capacity to engage in sexual relations, use of the internet/social media and capacity to litigate.

 

Nicholas Lee – Paragon Costs  

Nick is a Costs Lawyer and Mediator. He has specialised in costs since 2001 and created Paragon Costs Solutions in 2011. Paragon has a national client base consisting of niche firms, regional heavyweights, and large national firms. Nick is a keen advocate, having attended all levels of Court, including the Supreme Court. Nick sat as a Council member of Bristol Law Society from 2013 and became the President in 2018/19. He has sat on several boards including Bristol City Council's Economy Board and UWE's Law Advisory Board. Nick is a Trustee at Quartet Community Foundation and Bristol Old Vic. Nick joined the Association of Costs Lawyers Council in 2025.
